## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER 20 YEARS AS AN INACTIVE PILOT, PIC RECEIVED 5 HOURS OF DUAL AND A FLIGHT REVIEW ENDORSEMENT. ON NEXT FLIGHT, PIC ALLOWED THE AIRPLANE TO PORPOISE DURING HIS 1ST LANDING, ULTIMATELY STRIKING THE RUNWAY WITH THE PROPELLER. BOTH TIPS WERE SCRAPED, AND THE LOWER COWLING AT THE FIREWALL WAS SLIGHTLY DEFORMED. PIC CONTINUED TO OPERATE THE AIRPLANE IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN, AND MADE TWO MORE LANDINGS WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. PIC FAILED TO DETECT THE DAMAGE DURING POST-FLIGHT INSPECTION. THIS INCIDENT,^PRIVACY DATA OMIT^, IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
