## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 11, 2002, FEDEX FLIGHT 3814 EXPERIENCED AN UNKNOWN AIRFRAME VIBRATION. THE EVENT WAS ALSO DESCRIBED TO HAVE A "DUTCH ROLL" EFFECT. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND THE FLIGHT DIVERTED TO IND. IT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL FOUND THAT ALL SIX AILERON ACTUATOR ATTACHMENT LUG BEARINGS TO BE WORN BEYOND LIMITS. A SDR IS TO BE SUBMITTED BY THE AIR CARRIER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
