## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PASSENGER IBANEZ WAS VERBALLY ABUSIVE AND ASSAULTED FLIGHT ATTENDANT WHEN SHE THREW A BAG OF PRETZELS AND HIT A FLIGHT ATTENDANT IN THE FACE. PASSENGER IBANEZ INTIMIDATED FLIGHT ATTENDANTS AND PASSENGERS WITH HER LANGUAGE AND ACTIONS. PASSENGER IBANEZ FOLLOWED FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO THE FRONT OF THE AIRCRAFT AND WAS ARGUING WITH FLIGHT ATTENDANTS IN A LOUD ENOUGH VOICE SHE COULD BE HEARD IN THE COCKPIT. AT THIS TIME THE CAPTAIN DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND THE FLIGHT DIVERTED TO CLE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
