## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON LANDING ROLL THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT MAIN TIRE FAILED. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ON THE RIM, CAUSING THE PROP TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SHUT DOWN AND TOWED OFF THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES. HIGH TEMPERATURES AND A DENSITY ALTITUDE OF ABOUT 9500 FEET RESULTED IN HIGH GROUND SPEEDS DURING LANDING. THIS MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE TIRE FAILING. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF A VIOLATION OF THE FAR'S. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THETIMES IN SECTION 23 ARE ESTIMATES BASED ON AVAILABLE RECORDS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
