## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 20, 2002 AT APPROXIMATELY 1820 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME A PIPER, PA-33-260, REGISTERED TO THOMAS L. JOHNS, OPERATED BY RONALD WILSON EXPERIENCED ENGINE FAILURE AND WAS FORCED TO LAND ON HIGHWAY 338, 3 MILES SOUTH OF I-16 IN LAURENS COUNTY, GEORGIA WITHOUT DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR ADJACENT PROPERTY. THE PROBLEM WAS RECTIFIED, THE LAURENS COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY BLOCKED TRAFFIC IN ORDER FOR THE PILOT TO TAKE OFF AND RESUME FLIGHT TO SANDERSVILLE, GEORGIA.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
