## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JUNE 22, 2002, ABOUT 1700 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME A TIGER AA5B REGISTERED TO AND OPERATED BY ANDREW C. JENSEN WAS LANDING ON AN UNCONTROLLED GRASS RUNWAY LOCATED ON BARBOUR ISLAND, GEORGIA. VMC PREVAILED BUT THE RUNWAY WAS WET FROM A PRIOR RAIN. WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THEY HAD NO EFFECT ON THE WET GRASSY RUNWAY. THE PILOT REPORTED BY THE TIME HE DECIDED TO MAKE A GO AROUND IT WAS TOO LATE AS THE AIRCRAFT SLID OFF THE GRASS STRIP INTO A LAGOON. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED TO THE PILOT, PASSENGER, AND NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
