THE LEFT GEAR WAS WASHED OUT WITH DAMAGE TO THE WING TIP AND PROP. MR. RUSSELL STATED THAT HE DID NOT REPORT THE ACCIDENT BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THE DAMAGE WAS MINOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB MIA02LA145](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/MIA02LA145), Jun 28, 2002: Air Tractor AT-301 (N73088), Dyer, TN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the pilot to maintain wingtip clearance with corn crops at the edge of the road resulting in the collision with the crops.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
