## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) I ASSISTED NTSB INVESTIGATOR DEDDIE ECKROTE OF THE SEATTLE NTSB OFFICE. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED PULLMAN, WA ENROUTE TO SANDPOINT, ID, A DISTANCE OF 110 STATUE MILES. THE ON SCENE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED THE GROUND IN AN UNCONTROLLED, LEFT WING ATTITUDE. IT WAS DETERMINED AT THE SCENE THAT THE PILOT WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT OR SHOULDER HARNESS. BOTH PROPELLERS SHOW SIGNS OF BOTH ENGINES PRODUCING LITTLE OR NO POWER. ON 7-8-2002, AN ENGINE TEARDOWN INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED ON BOTH ENGINES WITH A CONTINENTAL ENGINE REPRESENTATIVE AND THE NTSB. NOTHING WAS FOUND TO INDICATE ANY MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION OF THE ENGINES, WITH THE EXCEPTION THERE WAS AN ABSENCE OF FUEL IN THE FUEL SYSTEM IN AREAS WHERE FUEL SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESENT. AN AUTOPSY WAS PERFORMED ON THE PILOT WITH NEGATIVE FINDINGS. NO EVIDENCE OF PILOT INCAPACITATION COULD BE FOUND.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA02FA119](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA02FA119), Jul 4, 2002: Cessna 335 (N27069), Tensed, ID, substantial damage, 2 fatal. Probable cause: Aircraft control was not maintained during an emergency landing. A loss of power for undetermined reasons was a factor.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
