As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N2453V WAS ON SHORT FINAL FOR RUNWAY 18. THE PILOT APPLIED POWER TO GO AROUND, THE ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND AND AN EMERGENCY LANDING WAS INITIATED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ADJACENT TO THE RUNWAY AND SKIDDED TO A STOP. DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIAL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DEN02LA071](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DEN02LA071), Jul 6, 2002: Cessna T206H (N2453V), Jackson, WY, substantial damage. Probable cause: the engine failure for undetermined reasons and the pilot's failure to maintain aircraft control during the forced landing attempt. A factor contributing to the accident was the inadvertent stall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
