## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THIS WAS A 91 FLIGHT, HAD 4 FRIENDS ON BOARD, THEY FLEW FOR APPROX. 25 MINUTES, AND LANDED THEY TRADED PASSENGERS, AND TOOK OFF AGAIN. THE WIND PICKED UP AND CHANGED DIRECTION. THE WIND WAS BLOWING THEM TOWARD A CANYON. THE PILOT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT FLYING UP THE CANYON, BUT HER ONLY OTHER ALTERNATIVE WAS TO LAND IN THE TREES, BEFORE SHE GOT TO THE CANYON. SHE CHOSE TO LAND IN THE TREES, THERE WERE NO INJURIES. DAMAGE TO THE BALLOON WAS MINOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
