## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT WAS TRANSPORTING PASSENGERS FROM THE LOWER KARLUK RIVER TO LARSON BAY STRIP. THIS FLIGHT IS VERY SHORT, LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. AFTER COMPLETING SEVERAL ROUND TRIPS, THE PILOT LANDED WITH THE GEAR EXTENDED IN THE RIVER. THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED THE RIVER WITH WHEELS FIRST. THIS CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP AND TURN UPSIDE DOWN. THE PILOT WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON BOARD AND WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
