## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 15, 2002, AT APPROXIMATELY 17:36 CDT LOCAL TIME THE PILOT OF A LEAR 60 AIRCRAFT, N752BP, REQUESTED A LOWER ALTITUDE AND LATER THE PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. THE NATURE OF THE EMERGENCY DESCENT WAS DUE TO A LOSS OF POWER CAUSED BY AN ENGINE VIBRATION. DURING THE DESCENT N752BP HAD A LOSS OF SEPARATION WITH DELTA FLIGHT 411 (DAL411). RADAR DATA INDICATED THAT N752BP WAS LEAVING APPROXIMATELY FLIGHT LEVEL 404 (FL404) WHEN THE CONTROLLER TURNED THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT, AND ISSUED A DESCENT TO FL370. DAL411, OPPOSITE DIRECTION AT FL390, RESPONDED TO A TCAS RESOLUTION ADVISORY AND STARTED A DESCENT TO FL370. THERE WAS A LOSS OF SEPARATION. SEPARATION WAS RE-ESTABLISHED AND DAL411 WAS CLEARED TO FL 390, N752BP RECEIVED A CLEARANCE TO AMARILLO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (AMA), AMARILLO, TEXAS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
