## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT LANDED ON HIS PERSONAL HELIPAD, WHICH HAD AN INCLINE ON ITS END, SLOPING FROM THE PAD'S FLAT SURFACE TO GROUND LEVEL. THE HELICOPTER TIPPED REARWARD AS IT SET DOWN WITH THE REAR SECTION OF THE SKID OVER THE INCLINED END OF THE PAD. THE PILOT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL IN ABORTING THE LANDING. THE HELICOPTER ROLLED BACK AND TO ITS RIGHT, ONTO THE GROUND. THE PILOT RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES AND THE HELICOPTER WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Probable cause: The pilot's failure to attain the proper touchdown point on the helipad, which resulted in a rollover. A factor in this accident was pilot fatigue.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
