## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WIND WAS REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN 240 DEGREES AT EIGHT KNOTS. THE AUTOMATED SURFACE OBSERVING SYSTEM (A.S.O.S.) REPORTED THE VISIBILITY AS 3/4 MILE. WITNESSES STATED THAT THE WEST END OF THE RUNWAY WAS CLEAR. THE VICTIM'S BROTHER OBSERVED THE ACCIDENT. HE REPORTED THAT HIS BROTHER, THE PILOT, TOUCHED DOWN JUST BEFORE THE FIRST EXIT. THIS IS APPROXIMATELY 700 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT WAS ADVISED ON TWO OCCASIONS TO "GO AROUND." THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED DOWN THE RUNWAY.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE AIRCRAFT THEN STRUCK A DIRT BERM AND BECAME AIRBORNE. THE VICTIM'S BROTHER STATED THAT THE AIRPLANE WENT NEARLY VERTICAL, THEN PITCHED OVER AND DISAPPEARED. A FEW SECONDS LATER A LOUD EXPLOSION WAS HEARD AND A BALL OF FIRE WAS OBSERVED.
