## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 8/3/02, DURING A NIGHT LANDING AT BUFFALO AIRFIELD (9G0), THE PILOT MISJUDGED THE DESCENT RATE AND HIS FLARE DID NOT ARREST IN TIME ONCE VISUAL CUES OF THE RUNWAY BECAME APPARENT TO HIM. THE AIRCRAFT DID A HARD LANDING ON THE MAINS THEN SLAMMED FORWARD PARTIALLY COLLAPSING THE NOSE GEAR AND CONTACTING THE RUNWAY WITH THE PROP. DAMAGE IS TO THE NOSE GEAR, NOSE GEAR DOORS AND SOME ON THE SHEET METAL IN THE AREA. I COULD NOT SEE ANY EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO DAMAGE TO THE FIRE WALL OR ANY OF THE MAIN AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
