## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DEPARTURE FROM SALT LAKE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AIRCRAFT STRUCK SEVERAL LARGE BIRDS, CAUSING DAMAGE TO LEADING EDGE OF BOTH WINGS. ALSO, ONE BIRD STRUCK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE, FORWARD AND UP FROM THE CAPTAINS PITOT PROBE. MAINTENANCE CLEANED THE AREA AROUND THE PROBE AND PERFORMED LOW PRESSURE CHECK OF THE PITOT SYSTEM. THE TWO DENTS IN THE LEADING EDGES OF THE WINGS WERE REPAIRED IAW WITH EA-6-5740-65294 DATED 08-08-02. MAINTENANCE RETURNED THE A/C TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
