## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON THURSDAY AUGUST 8, 200, AT APPROXIMATELY 6:00 PM AFTER A NORMAL LANDING AND ROLLOUT, THE NOSE GEAR ON N50JJ, A BE-65-A90 COLLAPSED; AND BOTH ENGINE PROPELLERS HIT THE RUNWAY PAVEMENT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY. FROM THE POINT OF IMPACT, WHEN THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND PROPS STRUCK THE RUNWAY, THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELLED APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET BEFORE STOPPING. INVESTIGATION BY THE ALLEGHENY FSDO REVEALED THAT THE UPPER DRAG LEG HAD SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. TWO PINS HOLD THE UPPER DRAG LEG TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT INTERCOSTAL SUPPORTS AND SECURED BY TWO BOLTS. THE BOLTS DID NOT SECURE THE PINS. ONE PIN WAS MISSING, THE OTHER PARTIALLY OUT WITH ITS INTERCOSTAL RIPPED OUT FROM THE FLOORING AND RETRIEVED FROM THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
