## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT WAS ON RAMP AREA AWAITING A GATE WHEN THE F/O SMELLED SMOKE. AIRCRAFT DID NOT RESPOND TO NOSE WHEEL STEERING NOR RUDDER PEDAL STEERING. THE RIGHT PACK FAILED AND THE STICK SHAKER WAS ACTIVATED. AIRCRAFT WAS SHUT DOWN AND THE CREW AND 4 PAX DEPLANED ON THE RAMP. THIS WAS NOT AN EVACUATION. PROBLEM: THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR PROXIMITY SENSOR MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING BOTH A/C PACK FANS TO BECOME INOPERATIVE. CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACED RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR SENSOR AND HARNESS. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
