## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 08/14/02, N29002, CE-210-L ENROUTE FROM CVG, OH TO TVC, MI EXPERIENCED A ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE DURING FLIGHT 35 MILES SOUTHWEST OF GRAND RAPIDS ABOUT 10:50 LOCAL TIME AND DIVERTED TO ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI AND THE PILOT DECIDED TO LAND AT PADEGHAM AIRPORT (35D). THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY. THE PADEGHAM AIRPORT WAS CLOSED AT THAT TIME DUE TO CONSTRUCTION OF THE AIRPORT. THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURY TO THE PILOT. PILOT IS THE ONLY OCCUPANT IN THE AIRCRAFT. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT #5 CYLINDER FROM THE ENGINE BLEW UP AND CAUSED THE ENGINE TO RUN ROUGH. THIS INCIDENT IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
