## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AIRCRAFT LANDED ON A SHORT STRIP, 1200 FEET. HALF WAY DOWN THE RUNWAY PILOT REALIZED THAT HE WOULD OVER RUN THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND HE LOCKED UP THE BRAKES. CLOSING ON THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND STILL AT TOO HIGH A RATE OF SPEED, PILOT TURNED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT, SKIDDING OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY WITH THE BRAKES LOCKED, THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A STOP JUST OFF THE RUNWAY IN SOFT DIRT AND SAND FACING APPROX. 150 DEGREES FROM THE RUNWAY HEADING. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED JUST AS THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
