## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) A MESA AIRLINES DEHAVILLAND DHC-8-202, CALL SIGN ASH 902 WAS BEING REPOSITIONED TO PALM SPRINGS AIRPORT FROM PHOENIX, AZ, WHEN DURING DESCENT THE NUMBER ONE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE PIC SHUT THE NUMBER ONE ENGINE DOWN, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH OUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENTS AT PALM SPRING AIRPORT. NO INJURIES OCCURRED TO THE CREW AND EVACUATION WENT SMOOTHLY. NO PASSENGERS WERE ABOARD THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
