## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATEMENT AS FOLLOWS: "I WAS SHOOTING TOUCH-AND-GOES AT FRONT RANGE AIRPORT THAT MORNING ON RUNWAY 08. AFTER LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT WAS STILL ROLLING. MY INSTRUCTOR AND I WERE DISCUSSING THE LANDING AS I PREPARED TO TAKE OFF. INADVERTENTLY, I GRABBED THE GEAR SWITCH (AND) MOVED IT TO THE GEAR UP POSITION. IMMEDIATELY I REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE AND LOWERED THE SWITCH TO THE GEAR DOWN POSITION. UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS TOO LATE. THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTED AND A PROP STRIKE FOLLOWED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER THE LEFT MAIN GEAR THEN BEGAN TO RETRACT, LOWERING THE LEFT WING UNTIL IT REACHED THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT THEN WENT OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. I AM NOT SURE OF THE SPEED WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED, BUT IT WAS PROBABLY BETWEEN TO TO 60 KNOTS. I ALSO DO NOT KNOW WHY THE SQUAT SWITCHES DID NOT PREVENT THE GEAR COLLAPSE. OTHER THEN THE PROP STRIKE RELATED ISSUES, THE REST OF THE DAMAGE APPEARS TO BE MINOR." ROD WAGGE

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
