## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) OWNER FLEW FROM W29 TO GAI. HE SAID THINGS GOT BUSY AS HE WAS APPROACHING GAI AND THAT HE HAD HIS APPROACH CHART ON HIS CLIPBOARD AND THAT IT WAS ON TOP OF HIS CHECKLIST WHICH HE FORGOT TO USE. HE CUT POWER OVER THE NUMBERS, FLARING THE AIRCRAFT ABOUT 1/3 OF THE WAY DOWN THE RUNWAY. WHEN HE PULLED THE THROTTLE BACK HE HEARD A HORN BUT THOUGHT THAT IT WAS THE STALL WARNING HORN. HE REALIZED IT WAS THE GEAR HORN WHEN THE PROP STARTED TO HIT THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED IN AND HE SHUT EVERYTHING OFF AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. (THE OWNER DID STATE THAT HE FORGOT TO PUT THE GEAR DOWN.) WHEN THE MECHANICS ARRIVED TO RAISE THE AIRCRAFT THEY SAW THAT THE GEAR HANDLE WAS IN THE UP POSITION. AFTER GETTING THE AIRCRAFT UP ON JACKS THE MECHANICS DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND TOWED THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE HANGAR. AIRCRAFT HAS CURRENT ANNUAL, 91.411, 91.413, INSPECTIONS. NO 91.207(D) INSPECTION RECORDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
