## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING THE COURSE OF A CHECK RIDE, THE EXTENSION OF THE AIRCRAFT'S LANDING GEAR WAS EXECUTED, AND THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR WOULD NOT LOCK IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED WITH THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR UNLOCKED. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ON THE RIGHT WING TIP AND RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. AS A RESULT, THE SPARS IN THE RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER WERE CRACKED AND BROKEN. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR HOUSING BROKE, WHICH WOULD NOT ALLOW THE LANDING GEAR TO EXTEND.
