## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2002, AT 0830, TANNER B COUCH WAS THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND OF N888MH, A ROBINSON HELICOPTER, FLYING IN VFR CONDITIONS FOR THE PURPOSE OF HERDING CATTLE. WHILE MANEUVERING THE HELICOPTER, HE STRUCK SOME POWER LINES WHICH DAMAGED THE HELICOPTER AND LED TO THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND PERFORMING AN AUTO-ROTATION TO A LANDING. UPON LANDING, THE HELICOPTER ROLLED OVER ON IT'S SIDE DOING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE ROTOR AND THE BOOM.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
