## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT CONDUCTED THE LOC 1 APPROACH DURING MODERATE RAIN IN POOR VISIBILITY (1 MILE). AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN APPROX. 1,000 FT FROM THE APPROACH END OF THE RUNWAY. THE CAPTAIN DEPLOYED THE THRUST REVERSES AND THOUGHT HE SAW A DOG SIZE ANIMAL, PULLED BACK ON THE YOKE, AIRCRAFT BECAME AIRBORNE AND THEN NOSED OVER HITTING THE GROUND CAUSING THE NOSE WHEEL TO BREAK OFF THE AIRCRAFT AT THE 3,000 FT POINT. AIRCRAFT SLID DOWN THE RUNWAY AND STOPPED AT THE END OF THE 5,000 FT. RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
