## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ACCORDING TO PERSONNEL OF DUTCHESS COUNTY TOWER, N1204L WAS IN THE PATTERN MAKING APPROACHES TO RUNWAY 24. ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT, THE LOCAL CONTROLLER ATTEMPTED SEVERAL TIMES TO ADVISE N1204L THAT THE LANDING GEAR APPEARED TO BE RETRACTED. NO RESPONSE FROM N1204L WAS RECEIVED. WHEN N1204L WAS ON SHORT FINAL, THE CONTROLLER SAW WHAT HE BELIEVED TO BE THE LANDING GEAR EXTENDING. THE GEAR APPARENTLY WAS NOT FULLY EXTENDED, AND THE AIRCRAFT SLID ON ITS BELLY BEFORE COMING TO REST APPROXIMATELY ONE THIRD OF THE WAY DOWN THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
