## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT MADE AN NDB 36 APPROACH WITH A CIRCLE TO LAND ON RUNWAY 18. IT APPEARED THAT THE PILOT MADE A HARD LANDING ON THE LEFT GEAR. THE DOWN LOCK WAS BROKEN ON IMPACT. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED APPROXIMATELY 99 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY CONTACTING THE RUNWAY THE SECOND TIME. THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED ALLOWING THE PROP TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY FOR APPROXIMATELY 60 FEET. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A GO AROUND. HE WAS ABLE TO GET THE AIRCRAFT AIRBORNE FOR APPROXIMATELY 24 FEET, THEN THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED BACK ON THE RUNWAY. THE LANDING GEAR CONTINUED TO COLLAPSE PULLING THE AIRCRAFT TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
