## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRMAN WAS INSTRUCTED TO TAXI FROM THE SOUTHEAST RAMP TO RUNWAY 31 BY SPI ATCT FOR A PLANNED IFR FLIGHT TO COLORADO SPRINGS CO. AT THE TIME HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS WERE OCCURING. WHILE TURNING OFF TAXIWAY BRAVO 3 ONTO TAXIWAY BRAVO THE AIRMAN DEPARTED THE TAXIWAY ONTO THE GRASS AND STRUCK A TAXIWAY LIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER AND THE TAXIWAY LIGHT WAS DESTROYED. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED BY THE TWO PILOTS AND ONE PASSENGER ON BOARD. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
