## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND AT KELLEY'S ISLAND AIRPORT THE PILOT SAID THAT HE EXPERIENCED A STRONG WIND GUST, BOUNCED UP THEN LANDED AGAIN AND STARTED ROLLING OFF OF THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY 27 AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. MR. REED DECIDED NOT TO TRY AND CORRECT DUE TO THE SPEED. THE AIRPLANE WENT INTO THE TREES ALONG THE RUNWAY. THERE APPEARS TO ONLY BE MINOR DAMAGE TO THE WINGTIP AND NO SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE PILOT AND TWO PASSENGERS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
