## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT REPORTED THAT A COMMERCIAL JET WAS LANDING ON 16R AND THAT HE WAS CLEARED TO 16L. HE LANDED LONG TO REDUCE THE POSSIBILITY OF WAKE TURBULENCE BUT THE TURBULENCE EVIDENTLY DRIFTED TO HIS RUNWAY. WHEN HE WAS FLARING ABOUT 8 TO 10 FEET ABOVE THE RUNWAY, THE AIR WAS BLOWN FROM UNDER HIS AIRCRAFT AND IT HIT THE RUNWAY HARD. THEN AS HE SLOWED TO TURN ONTO THE CROSS TAXIWAY TO THE RIGHT HE LOST THE HYDRAULIC BRAKE ON THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL. THE AIRCRAFT THEN VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK A LANDING LIGHT AND THE RADIO ALSO WENT DEAD. HE FINALLY GOT THE RADIO WORKING AND CONTACTED THE TOWER TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEMS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO THE JET WEST MAINTENANCE FACILITY AND INSPECTED. THE NOSE GEAR ASSEMBLY WAS BENT, THE PROPELLER WAS DAMAGED AT THE TIP OF ONE BLADE. THE PITOT TUBE LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RIGHT WING WAS MISSING, AND THE LEFT PLASTIC BRAKE LINE WAS SPLIT JUST ABOVE THE BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
