## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED DANBURY, CT (DXR) AT 1515 HOURS LOCAL TIME ON A NONSTOP VFR (VISUAL FLIGHT RULES) FLIGHT TO FINLEYVILLE, PA (G05). THE AIRCRAFT HAD FLOWN THREE HOURS AND EIGHTEEN MINUTES WHEN THE ENGINE FAILED AS A RESULT OF FUEL EXHAUSTION IN THE NEW STANTON, PA. AREA. THE PILOT SUCCESSFULLY LANDED THE AIRPLANE IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION ON PENNSYLVANIA ROUTE 66 AND INTENTIONALLY COASTED FROM THE HIGHWAY SURFACE, FINALLY COMING TO REST ON THE GRASSY MEDIAL STRIP THAT SEPARATES THE CONCRETE LANES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
