## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON OCTOBER 16, 2002, APPROXIMATELY 1330 CDT, CESSNA 414, N726WC, EXPERIENCED AN UNSAFE GEAR INDICATION WHILE ON APPROACH TO THE EPPLEY AIRFIELD (OMA), OMAHA, NE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. SUBSEQUENT INSPECTION DISCLOSED THAT THE UNSAFE GEAR INDICATION WAS THE RESULT OF A BROKEN WIRE ON THE LH MAIN LANDING GEAR SQUAT SWITCH. THE WIRE WAS REPAIRED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROVED FOR RETURN TO SERVICE BY GARRETT AVIATION SERVICES, OMAHA, NE., CRS G6NR400Y.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
