## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON OCTOBER 21, 2002 DURING THE CLIMB OUT, ABOUT 15 MINUTES AFTER DEPARTURE, WHILE ON A REVENUE FLIGHT FROM BLOOMINGTON, IL TO ST. LOUIS, MO, THE "ELECTRICAL SMOKE" WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ALONG WITH THE "MASTER CAUTION" LIGHT. THE PIC DID NOT DECLARE AN EMERGENCY BUT ELECTED TO RETURN TO THE POINT OF DEPARTURE. THE "ELECTRICAL SMOKE" CHECKLIST WAS COMPLETED AND THE AIRCRAFT MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING. THE WARNING LIGHT EXTINGUISHED ON FINAL APPROACH. ALL PASSENGERS AND CREW WERE DEPLANED AT THE TERMINAL WITHOUT INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
