## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER AIRCRAFT WAS BOARDED, FLIGHT CREW WAS COMPLETING THE FINAL PAPERWORK, FLIGHT ATTENDANT ALERTED THE CREW OF SMOKE IN THE CABIN, WHEN THE CAPTAIN NOTICED THE SMOKE WAS HEAVY, COULD NOT SEE THE LAVATORY FROM THE COCKPIT. THE CAPTAIN TOLD THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT TO NOTIFY THE GROUND CREW THAT THE FIRST OFFICER WAS GOING TO SUPERVISE THE PAX EVACUATION. THE CAPTAIN CONTACTED THE GROUND AND HAD CFR DISPATCHED. THE CAPTAIN SHUT ALL PACKS, APU BLEED, GASPER AND RECIRCULATING FANS AS A PRECAUTION. CFR ARRIVED WITHIN MINUTES AND INSPECTED AIRCRAFT WITH HIS CREW USING A THERMO-IMAGING DEVICE. AFTER PAX EVACUATION, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT COMPLAINED ABOUT CHEST PAINS, DIZZINESS AND LOOKED PALE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
