## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) A GALLEY CART BROKE LOOSE FROM THE FORWARD GALLEY ON TAKEOFF. THE CART WENT DOWN THE AISLE STRUCK A LAVATORY, THE AFT F/A SWIVEL JUMPSEAT AND THEN BROKE ELEVEN BONES IN THE F/A'S FOOT. IT IS ASSUMED THE GALLEY WAS NOT PROPERLY SECURED FOR TAKEOFF.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI03LA031](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI03LA031), Nov 29, 2002: Airbus Industrie A320-211 (N324US), Minneapolis, MN, no damage. Probable cause: The cabin flight crew not verifying the galley service cart had been properly stowed prior to departure, which resulted in the inadvertent deployment of the galley service cart during initial climb…

## Other reports on N324US (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19920323011219I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19920323011219I), Mar 23, 1992: Airbus A320211 (N324US), Detroit, MI, Minor damage. Parked at gate. Before engine shut-down a cabin heat cart duct was drawn into NR1 engine. New safety zone drawn.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
