## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AT 1700 ON 12/04/02, I ARRIVED AT THE LUNKEN AIRPORT (LUK), CINCINNATI, OHIO. WE HAD RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE OF FLIGHT EXPRESS AIRLINES, A PART 135 OPERATOR, REPORTING THAT ONE OF THEIR CESSNA 210 AIRCRAFT, N7660E WAS HAVING GEAR TROUBLE AND WAS INBOUND TO LUK. AT 1715 THE AIRCRAFT OVER FLEW THE AIRPORT SO THAT THE GEAR POSITION COULD BE CONFIRMED AND THE REPORT WAS NOSE DOWN AND MAINS WERE HANGING AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE. THE TOWER CLEARED THE AIRCRAFT TO LAND ON RUNWAY 7. ON FINAL, THE PIC SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE AND MASTER SWITCH. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN 3 FEET PAST THE THRESHOLD OF THE RUNWAY AND CONTINUED ON DOWN RUNWAY 7 ABOUT 200 FEET. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN A GRASSY AREA ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY 7. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE HORIZONTAL STAB, RIGHT ELEVATOR AND TAIL OF THE AIRCRAFT.
