## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT - A CESSNA 150, N22699 - WAS ENROUTE FROM AURORA, ILLINOIS (ARR) TO MARION, IOWA (C17). THE PILOT STATED THAT THE ENGINE STARTED TO RUN ROUGH AND THEN QUIT ON THE DOWN WIND LEG AT THE MARION AIRPORT, MARION, IOWA. HE LANDED IN A PLOWED FIELD APPROXIMATELY 3/4 OF A MILE NORTHEAST OF THE AIRPORT AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
