## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE ON A PART 91 FLIGHT WITH 5 PASSENGERS, FROM OKC TO KOKOMO, AND DESCENDING FROM FL270 TO FL240 THE APPROPRIATELY RATED AND QUALIFIED PIC EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER AT APPROXIMATELY FL245. THE PIC DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND WAS HANDED OVER TO CHAMPAIGN ATCT. DURING THE DESCENT THE PIC ATTEMPTED 2 AIR STARTS WITH NO SUCCESS. AN EMERGENCY LANDING WAS MADE ON CMI RUNWAY 4 AND CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 100 YARDS FROM THE RUNWAY END. THE PIC AND 5 PASSENGERS EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WITHOUT INCIDENT. BOTH MAIN LANDING GEAR TIRES WERE BLOWN ON THE LANDING, RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO BOTH MAIN WHEELS, NO OTHER DAMAGE OCCURRED TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
