## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) IFR: DOTHAN TO SALEM, DIVERETED TO VIH DUE TO REPORTS OF ICE ON RUNWAY AT SALEM. CANCELLED IFR ON APPROACH TO VIH. ACTIVATED GEAR ON DOWNWIND, NOSE GEAR FAILED TO EXTEND. ATTEMPTED TO CRANK DOWN, ATTEMPTED HIGHT "G" MANEUVERS, NOTHING WORKED. MOVED BAGS AFT AND HAD PAX GET IN REAR SEAT TO PUT CG AS FAR AFT AS POSSIBLE. SHUTDOWN ENGINE BEFORE TOUCHDOWN, ALL THREE BLADES OF PROPELLER CURLED. AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN APPROXIMATELY 1200 FT FROM THRESHOLD OF RUNWAY 22.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
