## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 29, 2002, MR. DAVID RASTAVAN DEPARTED BIG BEAR AIRPORT, BIG BEAR CA. ENROUTE TO CHINO AIRPORT, CHINO CA. MR. RASTAVAN CONTACTED THE CHINO CONTROL TOWER AND RECEIVED APPROVAL FOR A STRAIGHT IN APPROACH TO RUNWAY 26. AFTER LANDING ON ROLL OUT MR. RASTAVAN STATED THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. A POST INSPECTION OF THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR REVEALED THAT CESSNA BELLCRANK PART NUMBER, 5041001-2, HAD FAILED. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE, AND MR. RASTAVAN AND HIS PASSENGER DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
