## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED ON LANDING DURING THE CONDUCT OF A PRACTICAL TEST IN A MULTIENGINE AIRPLANE. BOTH THE APPLICANT AND PILOT EXAMINER STATED THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS PLACED IN THE DOWN POSITION AND THE LANDING GEAR EXTENDED ON THE DOWNWIND LEG FOR LANDING. BOTH CONFIRMED THE LANDING GEAR LIGHTS INDICATED THE LANDING GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED. UPON LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO IT'S BELLY CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO BOTH PROPELLERS AND FLAPS. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RAISED FROM THE GROUND AND THE LANDING GEAR CYCLED. THE LANDING LIGHTS, IN TRANSIENT LIGHT, AND LANDING GEAR APPEARED TO FUNCTION NORMALLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
