## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PIC MADE HIS APPROACH TO THE NEWLY DESIGNATED APPROACH THRESHOLD WHILE ON A STABILIZED APPROACH TO RWY 36. DURING RUNWAY ROLLOUT, HE APPLIED NORMAL TO HEAVY BRAKING WHICH DID NOT SEEM TO SLOW HIS SPEED AS ANTICIPATED. PIC OBSERVED THE RUNWAY END APPROACHING AND ELECTED TO TURN LEFT ON THE LAST TAXIWAY OFF RAMP. PIC INITIATED HIS LEFT TURN TOO SOON CAUSING NOSE GEAR TO DROP OFF THE ASPHALT INTO SOFT SOIL WHICH CAUSED THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE. NOTE: HENDERSON EXECUTIVE AIRPORT IS CURRENTLY UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION WHEREIN THEY HAVE A DISPLACED THRESHOLD WHICH ALLOWS FOR A 2800' USABLE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
