## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PIC REPORTED THE FOLLOWING: HE HAD PERFORMED THREE LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 27 DURING THIS FLIGHT, AND THE MISHAP OCCURRED DURING THE THIRD LANDING. TIX ATCT HAD REPORTED WINDS WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS DURING THE PREVIOUS LANDINGS, BUT THE WINDS WERE REPORTED AS STEADY JUST PRIOR TO THIS LANDING. AS THE PIC INITIATED THE LANDING FLARE, THE AIRPLANE ENCOUNTERED A WIND GUST AND THE AIRCRAFT SINK RATE INCREASED. HE ATTEMPTED TO ARREST THE SINK RATE BY APPLYING ADDITIONAL BACK PRESSURE TO THE CONTROL YOKE, BUT DID NOT ADD ANY POWER. THE AIRPLANE CONTACTED THE RUNWAY AND BEGAN TO "PORPOISE". HE INITIATED A GO-AROUND, AND SUBSEQUENTLY SHUT DOWN THE FRONT ENGINE DUE TO VIBRATION. HE THEN LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. POST LANDING INSPECTION OF THE AIRPLANE REVEALED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE NOSE STRUT/WHEEL/TIRE, PROP TIPS, ENGINE MOUNT, LEFT WING TIP, AND LEFT AILERON.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
