## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) "INDUSTRIAL INCIDENT-NO INTENT TO FLY". ON 01/18/03, AMERICAN EAGLE MAINTENANCE WAS PERFORMING AN ENGINE RUN UP. THIS RUN UP WAS ON AN EMB-135LR AIRCRAFT. THE ENGINE RUN WAS PERFORMED APPROXIMATELY 295 FEET FROM THE HANGAR. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FACING THE HANGAR AND WAS PARKED ON A SNOW AND ICE COVERED SURFACE. THE MECHANICS WERE RUNNING BOTH ENGINES AND ADVANCED THE POWER LEVERS TO APPROXIMATELY 80 TO 85%. THE AIRCRAFT MOVED OUT OF CONTROL, HITTING THE HANGAR CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND THE HANGAR DOOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
