## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC03FA039](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC03FA039), Jan 19, 2003: Boeing 757-251 (N550NW), Flushing, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: Maintenance personnel failure to maintain aircraft control as a result of excessive throttle input.

## Other reports on N550NW (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20040531010539I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20040531010539I), May 31, 2004: Boeing 757251 (N550NW), Anchorage, AK. (-23) Northwest gate agent opened aircraft door 1L, while flight attendant still had her hand on the handle. The flight attendant sustained a fractured wrist.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
