## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE CRUISING AT 6000 FT ENROUTE TO CAK FROM BAF, AIRCRAFT STARTED TO EXPERIENCE A PROGRESSIVE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. PILOT RADIOED NY ATC AND STARTED A RETURN TO BAF. AFTER TALKING TO NY ATC RADIO TRANSMISSION FAILED. AT THIS TIME THE PILOT WAS ONLY ABLE TO RECEIVE RADIO TRANSMISSIONS. THE PILOT STATED THAT ONCE AT BAF HE ATTEMPTED TO LOWER LANDING GEAR WITHOUT ANY RESULTS. HE THEN BEGAN TO MANUALLY CRANK THE LANDING GEAR DOWN. HE CRANKED AS FAR AS HE PHYSICALLY COULD. HE THEN FLEW BY THE TOWER TO CONFIRM GEAR WAS DOWN. THE TOWER CONFIRMED THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS APPARENTLY DOWN. ON LONG FINAL TO RUNWAY 33, THE PILOT TRIED TO USE FLAPS, BUT THEY WOULD NOT WORK. HE CONTINUED HIS APPROACH TILL HE TOUCHED DOWN ABOUT 1/3 DOWN RUNWAY 33. AT THIS TIME RIGHT LANDING GEAR GAVE WAY AS DID LEFT AND NOSE GEAR. AIRCRAFT SLIDE TO RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY INTO SNOW BANK. MINOR DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES TO PILOT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
