## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT N321FL, AFTER LANDING AT SFO WAS TAXIING TO SIGNATURE AVIATION TO TRANSPORT A PASSENGER TO AN AWAITING AMBULANCE. AIRCRAFT RECEIVED TAXI CLEARANCE TO PROCEED TO PARKING AREA VIA KILO AND CHARLIE. PILOT FOLLOWED CLEARANCE AND TURNED OFF THE RUNWAY KILO, AND PROCEEDED TO CHARLIE. WHILE TAXIING ABOUT 10 MPM, THE PILOT TURNED NORTHBOUND TOWARD THE DESIGNATED PARKING AREA. WHILE TAXIING ACROSS A GROUND SERVICE VEHICLE ROAD, A TRUCK PROCEEDING IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE AIRPLANE'S RIGHT WING HITTING THE PROPELLER WITH THE FRONT BUMPER ON THE SERVICE TRUCK. THE TRUCK DRIVER REPORTED HE DID NOT OBSERVE THE AIRCRAFT AND HAD STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN 100 YARDS FROM THE POINT OF IMPACT. THE TRUCK DRIVER WAS SITED BY THE AIRFIELD TRACKING SYSTEM AUTHORITIES AT SFO FOR HITTING A MOVING AIRCRAFT AND FAILURE TO YIELD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB LAX03LA088](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/LAX03LA088), Feb 16, 2003: Cessna 421C (N321FL), San Francisco, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The vehicle driver's inadequate visual lookout and failure to follow established procedures. A contributing factor was the dark nighttime condition.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
