## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON THE THIRD OF A SERIES OF TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS, THE STUDENT PILOT ADDED POWER FOR TAKEOFF AND FAILED TO PREVENT TORQUE AND PROPELLER EFFECTS FROM VEERING THE AIRCRAFT LEFT. AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT, HIT DEEP SNOW, BROKE THE NOSEWHEEL, AND DAMAGED THE PROP, FIREWALL, AND RIGHT WING. NO INJURIES. NO FIRE. THIS REPORT CONCLUDES THIS INVESTIGATION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC03LA062](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC03LA062), Feb 26, 2003: Cessna 172N (N733XP), Cincinnati, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's failure to maintain directional control.
