## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT-IN-COMMAND STATED THAT THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AFTER LANDING ON RWY 36 AT JOHNSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (OJC), OLATHE, KANSAS. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE COMPLETED THE APPROACH-TO-LANDING CHECKLIST USING A STANDARD GUMP CHECK, SELECTED GEAR DOWN AND VERIFIED THAT HE HAD THREE GREEN LIGHTS. THE PASSENGER ALSO VERIFIED THE GEAR DOWN LIGHTS. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE AGAIN VERIFIED THREE GREEN LIGHTS ON FINAL. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE LANDING WAS SMOOTH, BUT AFTER TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A STOP. POST INDICENT INVESTIGATION AND EXAMINATION DID NOT REVEAL ANY ABNORMALITIES IN THE FUNCTION OF THE LANDING GEAR WHILE IN THE OVERRIDE/MANUAL MODE. (THE AUTO EXTEND MODE WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE GEAR TO EXTEND IF IT HAD BEEN ENGAGED, DUE TO BLOCKAGE IN THE PITOT HEAD USED FOR AIRSPEED REFERENCE). INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IS CLOSED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
